About

👋 Welcome to SyaelStories! 😊 I’m Syael — and these are my Stories..

I am an aspiring Indonesian slow-travel writer who has called Bali home for the past seven years.

Before moving here, I lived in Jakarta, working in the corporate world — surrounded by deadlines, traffic, and the constant rush of city life. But deep down, I always knew I wanted something different — a life that fits my soul’s mission, closer to nature, and filled with stories worth telling.

So I packed my books, my camera, and a head full of dreams, and moved to Bali just before the pandemic. What was meant to be a short break turned into a new chapter — one that taught me about Balinese wisdom, slow living, and the art of finding beauty in everyday moments that make this island alive.

The Bali Chapter Why I Started SyaelStories

It began as a personal journal — a space to capture moments of my days in Bali through photos and videos. Over time, it grew into something bigger: a place to share my Bali living experiences, where you can find honest, local insights, and slow travel inspiration, while supporting responsible and sustainable tourism across Indonesia.

What Makes SyaelStories Different

There are countless travel blogs out there about Bali produced by foreign travellers — but SyaelStories isn’t just about Bali from a quick visit perspective. I write from the heart as an Indonesian person who lives here, who speaks the language, and who has spent years learning from the local Balinese. This helps me tell stories that go beyond surface travel tips offered by visitors who might miss unique information that are best revealed by living here — stories that explore a deeper sense of discovery behind the why of every journey!

My mission is simple:
To help travelers see the real Bali with Travel Guides and Tips— not just the beaches and resorts, but the stories, culture, and a local’s everyday life. ⋆。𖦹 ˚ 𓇼 ˚。⋆

Beyond Bali, A Million Stories To Share જ⁀➴

SyaelStories isn’t just about destinations. It’s about connection. While Bali is home — my journey goes far beyond the island’s borders. Travel, for me, is a way of understanding the world through its stories — and those stories don’t stop at the shoreline. Beyond Bali, I explore the diverse cultures, flavors, and rhythms of Indonesia, Southeast Asia and beyond.

I believe travel isn’t just about where you go—it’s about how you experience it. If that sounds like your kind of journey, stick around!
